People who know me describe me as an openminded and dedicated music fan.
They are absolutely correct.
I've spent the bulk of my adult life around people who create, teach, record and engineer it, and my entire youth being enamored with it.
My love of music accidentally began my photo career when the images I was able to capture of live music with my point and shoot camera were less than dazzling.
And it bothered me. A lot.
I parlayed my annoyance into a desire to learn the art of music photography, and I began to practice it at every chance I got.
Often the only woman in the photo pit, I stuck out like sore thumb and quickly learned it was a real boys club. It challenged me to learn as much as possible as quickly as possible, for the customary duration of time allotted for photographing live music is the first three songs ONLY.
"First three, no flash, you know the drill".
I readily accepted the challenge.
Since those days, I’ve been tasked to create off stage portraits of musicians, images to be used for advertising of the instruments they play, as well as their promotional materials.
I’ve also garnered a loyal client list of non music makers whom I also adore and treasure.
My current focus is luxury glamour portraiture for women. I enjoy empowering women and helping them see the beauty and potential in themselves.
And maybe even in turn, the world.
I continue to offer lifestyle and portraiture of children and families, music photography and artist promos, and events as my schedule allows.
On a personal note, I am the proud mother of an inquisitive and polite toddler, wife of a fellow creative, kitty mama and lifelong Prince fan.
